Basic Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival in Kathmandu – Transfer to Hotel
  • Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
  • Meet our representative at the terminal after completing immigration formalities.
  • Private transfer to your hotel.
  • Check-in, freshen up, and rest.
  • Optional evening exploration of Thamel and dinner at your leisure.

Day 02 :
Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Guided half-day city tour including:
    • Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)
    • Kathmandu Durbar Square
    • Pashupatinath Temple

  • Lunch and short rest.
  • Attend trek briefing and gear preparation session.

Day 03 :
Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (730m)
  • Early morning departure from Kathmandu.
  • Scenic drive via Prithvi Highway.
  • Pass terraced fields, rivers, hills, and waterfalls.
  • Lunch en route.
  • Drive through Arughat to Soti Khola (last stretch is rough road).
  • Max Altitude: 730 m / 2,395 ft

Day 04 :
Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (850m)

Begin first day of trekking.

Pass through sal forests and hillside trails.

Cross suspension bridges over Budhi Gandaki River.

Trek through Lapubesi and sandy riverbeds.

Gradual ascent to Machha Khola.

Max Altitude: 850 m / 2,789 ft

Duration: 5–6 hours

Day 05 :
Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1,410m)
  • Follow the river upstream to Khorla Besi.
  • Cross multiple suspension bridges.
  • Pass villages like Doban and Yaru Phat.
  • Climb stone steps to Thado Bharyang.
  • Ascend to the village of Jagat.
  • Max Altitude: 1,410 m / 4,625 ft
  • Duration: 6–7 hours
  • Distance: 22.2 km / 13.7 miles

Day 06 :
Trek from Jagat to Deng (1,804m)
  • Descend on stone staircases to the river.
  • Ascend to Salleri and Saguleri for views of Shringi Himal.
  • Continue through Philim, Lokwa, and Ekle Bhatti.
  • Cross several rivers and walk past Sirdibas to reach Deng.
  • Max Altitude: 1,804 m / 5,917 ft

Day 07 :
Trek from Deng to Namrung (2,630m)

.Cross the Budhi Gandaki River via a suspension bridge.

Climb to Rana and then continue westward.

Walk through lush pine and rhododendron forests.

Visit Ghap and ascend to Prok Village.

Final ascent to Namrung.

Day 08 :
Trek from Namrung to Sama Gaon (3,520m)
  • Ascend through dense forests and picturesque farmland.
  • Pass Buddhist chortens, prayer flags, and mani walls.
  • Walk through Lihi, Sho, and Lho villages.
  • Enjoy views of Manaslu, Himal Chuli, and Ganesh Himal.
  • Continue past Shyala to reach Sama Gaon.
  • Max Altitude: 3,520 m / 11,548 ft

Day 09 :
Acclimatization in Sama Gaon – Hike to Pungyen Gompa & Manaslu Base Camp

  • Morning hike to:
    • Pungyen Gompa for cultural and scenic experience.
    • Birendra Lake and optional hike to Manaslu Base Camp (~4,800m).
  • Enjoy panoramic views of surrounding snow-capped peaks.
  • Return to Sama Gaon for overnight stay.

  • Duration: 5–6 hours (optional)
Day 10 :
Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo (3,875m)

Begin with a gentle walk through yak pastures and terraced fields.

Trail gradually ascends along the Budhi Gandaki River.

Pass the junction leading to Manaslu Base Camp.

Cross a wooden bridge and climb to Samdo village.

Witness panoramic views of Samdo Peak and the Tibetan borderlands.

Max Altitude: 3,875 m / 12,713 ft

Duration: 4–5 hours

Distance: 17 km / 10.5 miles

Day 11 :
Acclimatization Day in Samdo – Hike to Tibetan Border (Optional)
  • Rest and acclimatize to the higher elevation.
  • Optional hike to the Tibetan border viewpoint (4,900m).
  • Enjoy fantastic views of Mt. Manaslu, Simnang Himal, and others.
  • Return to Samdo for lunch and relax for the remainder of the day.
  • Prepare for the challenging Larkya La pass trek.
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 12 :
Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi) – 4,460m
  • Trek begins with a descent and crosses a wooden bridge over the Budhi Gandaki.
  • Gradual climb through barren terrain to Larkya Phedi (Dharamsala).
  • Limited teahouses, basic accommodations available.
  • Early dinner and rest for next day's pass crossing.
  • Max Altitude: 4,460 m / 14,632 ft
  • Duration: 4–5 hours
  • Distance: 11.7 km / 7.3 miles
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Teahouse (basic lodge)
Day 13 :
Cross Larkya La Pass (5,160m) and Trek to Bimthang (3,590m)

Start early before sunrise to cross Larkya La Pass, the highest point of the trek.

Long and challenging ascent, rewarded with stunning views of Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II.

After crossing the pass, descend steeply to Bimthang.

One of the most scenic trekking days on the circuit.

Day 14 :
Trek from Bimthang to Tilije (2,300m)

Descend through alpine meadows, rhododendron forests, and small streams.

Cross the Dudh Khola River on a wooden bridge.

Pass through Karche and Gho villages.

Continue trek to Tilije, a Gurung settlement.

Day 15 :
Trek to Dharapani and Drive to Besisahar or Kathmandu
  • Trek downhill from Tilije to Dharapani.
  • Join the Annapurna Circuit trail at Dharapani checkpoint.
  • From here, board a jeep or bus to Besisahar.
  • Option to drive straight back to Kathmandu (8–9 hours), or overnight at Besisahar.
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
  • Accommodation: Hotel (Kathmandu or Besisahar)
Day 16 :
Departure Day
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your return flight.
  • End of the Manaslu Circuit Trek with incredible memories.
