This 10-day package is perfect for those who want to experience the majesty of the Everest region both on foot and from the sky. You’ll trek through some of the most iconic trails while also enjoying bird’s-eye views from a helicopter.
Trip Overview
Our adventure starts with a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. From there, we begin our trek towards Everest Base Camp, descending to the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way, we’ll pass through Phakding, situated at 2610m, and continue to Namche Bazaar, traversing the Dudh Koshi River and enjoying the scenic forests of blue pine and rhododendron.
In Namche Bazaar, we’ll have the opportunity to see some of the world’s most famous peaks, including Everest, Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Lhotse, and Nuptse. We’ll also take a rest day here to acclimatize to the high altitude.
One of the highlights will be the hike to the Everest View Hotel, where you can marvel at the stunning views of Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and Mt. Everest. We’ll also explore Thami, located above the Bhote Khola River Valley, and hike to Tengboche at 3860m.
From there, we’ll trek to Lobuche, where you can enjoy incredible views of Pumori and Changtse. Continuing our journey, we’ll reach Gorakshep (5140m) and walk alongside the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp (5360m), the foot of the world’s tallest mountain.
Finally, we’ll trek to Kalapathhar (5550m), where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of Pumori, Khumbutse, and Lingtren. We’ll then return to Kathmandu via helicopter, offering a unique perspective of the Himalayas.

Trip Details
The 10-Day Everest Heli Trip and Trek is designed to provide an accessible and memorable experience of the Everest region. You’ll explore Sherpa culture in Khumjung Village, learn about Buddhist traditions, and experience the rural lifestyle of the Himalayas in Nepal, including a visit to Sagarmatha National Park.
This trip, though comprehensive, promises to be unforgettable with its relaxed trekking pace. You’ll have the opportunity to closely observe the Sherpa community, their culture, and lifestyle, as well as visit numerous Buddhist monasteries and stupas that reflect Nepali and Tibetan art and sculptures.
On the return journey to Kathmandu, the helicopter ride will bring you closer to the Himalayas, offering a unique perspective of these majestic mountains. The entire trip, including the heli trip and trek, will span 10 days.

Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our representatives will greet you . You will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for personal activities. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Wake up at 4:30 AM for tea and request a packed breakfast from the hotel. Be ready by 5 AM at the hotel lobby for your transfer to the airport. Enjoy a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2827m), landing after approximately 40 minutes. Our caretaker will assist with your luggage. Walk down to the Dudh Koshi River and follow the main path to Namche Bazaar. After passing through Ghat (2550m), arrive at Phakding for an overnight stay in a tea house.
Note: Lukla’s weather is unpredictable. In case of bad weather, flights may be delayed or canceled. If canceled, you will need to return to the hotel. Transportation and accommodation for this night are not included and will incur additional costs. If the weather clears the next day, you will catch either the 3rd or 4th flight to Lukla. If weather conditions persist, helicopter flights may be an option, with costs quoted by the airlines on the same day. The total cost for a helicopter flight is approximately 400 USD, with an additional 250 USD added to your Lukla flight ticket
Start your trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. Cross the river and trek through rhododendron and blue pine forests, especially stunning during spring. Pass through Benkar and enjoy views of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) and Thamserku (6623m). The trail becomes more challenging with a steep climb to Namche Bazaar. Arrive at the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers, cross a suspension bridge, and ascend to Namche Bazaar. Enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Taweche. Overnight in a tea house.
Spend the day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar. Explore the village and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Khumbu peaks and Everest. After breakfast, you can trek to Thami (3810m) over the Bhote Khola River Valley or visit the Sagarmatha National Park to see protected flora and fauna. Overnight in a tea house.
Descend through the Khumjung area and follow the main path to Everest at Shanasa. Continue to Trashinga and cross the Dudh Koshi at Phunkitenga (3250m). The trail ascends through fir, black juniper, pine, and rhododendron forests to Tengboche Monastery. Enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Kantega, and Mt. Everest. The hike will take around 5 hours. Overnight in a tea house.
Trek through the forest of birch, juniper, fir, and rhododendron at Debouche. The trail ascends steadily, with increasing elevation throughout the day. Cross the Imja Khola and pass through Pangboche, where you can see Ama Dablam. Continue climbing through alpine hillsides before crossing the Imja Khola again to reach Dingboche. Overnight in a tea house.
Spend the day resting in Dingboche to acclimate to the high altitude. Optionally, you can hike to Chhukung Valley, though it is not mandatory. Overnight in a tea house.
Leave Dingboche and ascend to the Khumbu Glacier. After an hour, the path climbs to the moraine at Dughla. Continue steeply to the crest of the moraine. The trail flattens on the west side of the moraine before arriving at Lobuche. Overnight in a tea house.
Today is the most challenging and significant day of the trek. Follow the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp (5360m), the closest point to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. Enjoy the stunning view of the Khumbu Icefall. Return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay in a tea house.
Wake up early and hike to Kalapattar (5550m) for breathtaking views of Pumori (7,145m), Khumbutse (6,623m), Lingtren (6,697m), and Changtse (7,750m). Return to Kathmandu via helicopter on a shared basis. Overnight in Kathmandu.
