Everest Base Camp & Kala Patthar Trek – 13 Days

This trek takes you deep into the stunning Khumbu region, where you’ll walk through Sherpa villages, forests, and across rivers, all with the mighty Himalayas as your backdrop. You’ll be trekking in the Sagarmatha National Park — a protected area rich with wildlife and natural beauty — all the way to the base of the world’s tallest mountain.

What’s the Experience Like?

The journey begins and ends with flights to and from Lukla — a thrilling way to start your adventure. Along the trail, you’ll pass through forests of rhododendron, small mountain villages, and alpine valleys. You’ll see peaks like Everest, Cho Oyu, Pumori, Thamserku, and Kanchenjunga towering above.

There will be challenging sections — including walking on rocky moraines and steep paths — but you’ll always be supported by our experienced team. The acclimatization stops at Namche and Dingboche help your body adjust to the altitude, and they give you a chance to explore even more hidden corners of the Khumbu region.

Expect simple living, cozy tea houses, hearty meals, and unforgettable mountain views. Most importantly, expect to return home with a deep sense of accomplishment.

Day 01 :
Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Settle in, relax, and get refreshed. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and a briefing about the trek.

Day 02 :
Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding

Take a thrilling mountain flight to Lukla. After meeting your porters, begin your trek along a descending trail that crosses suspension bridges and passes through Cheplung and Thado Koshi Gaon before reaching Phakding.

Day 03 :
Trek to Namche Bazaar

Follow a scenic route through rhododendron forests and charming villages like Toktok and Monjo. After registering permits at Monjo, ascend steeply to reach Namche Bazaar, the heart of the Sherpa community.

Day 04 :
Acclimatization in Namche – Hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung Village

Enjoy a short acclimatization hike to the famous Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and more. Optionally hike to Khumjung Monastery. Later, explore Namche Bazaar’s museums and galleries.

Day 05 :
Trek to Tengboche Monastery

Walk through Kyangjuma and descend to Phungi Thanga. Cross a bridge and ascend through pine forests to reach Tengboche, home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu region.

Day 06 :
Trek to Dingboche (4,410 m / 14,470 ft) via Pangboche

Descend to Deboche and cross the Imja Khola, heading through forested trails to Pangboche Monastery. Continue through alpine landscapes and stone walls to reach Dingboche.

Day 07 :
Acclimatization in Dingboche – Hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chhukung Valley

Day 08 :
Trek to Lobuche (4,940 m / 16,210 ft) via Dughla Pass

Climb steadily through Dughla Pass, passing memorials for fallen climbers. Continue through glacial terrain to Lobuche with striking views of Pumori and Nuptse.

Walk along Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep, then push on to the iconic Everest Base Camp. After soaking in the views and taking photos, return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 10 :
Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m / 18,129 ft) & Trek Down to Pheriche or Pangboche

Begin your day with a sunrise hike to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for Everest and surrounding peaks. Afterward, descend to Gorak Shep and continue to Pheriche or Pangboche.

Day 11 :
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,290 ft)

Retrace your steps along the trail through forests, rivers, and picturesque Sherpa settlements to reach Namche Bazaar.
Trekking Time: 7–8 hrs
Distance: 17.7 km / 10.9 miles

Day 12 :
Trek to Lukla (2,846 m / 9,337 ft)

Descend steeply and cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River before the final uphill stretch to Lukla, where you’ll conclude the trek.

Day 13 :
Fly Back to Kathmandu & Farewell Dinner

Take a scenic morning flight back to Kathmandu. After hotel transfer, enjoy your free time or shop for souvenirs. In the evening, join us for a farewell dinner.
