Tibet Everest Base Camp Trek

This journey offers a perfect blend of rich cultural heritage and untamed wilderness on the Tibetan Plateau. The adventure begins along the iconic Friendship Highway, taking us through some of the planet’s most breathtaking scenery. We encounter remote Tibetan villages, nomadic herders traversing vast dry plains, and towering mountain ranges. The cultural richness of the region is just as captivating, with ample opportunities to discover Tibet’s unique traditions, particularly in Lhasa and other towns en route to Kathmandu.

We spend three nights in Lhasa, right in the heart of the old city, giving us time to acclimate and explore key landmarks like the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. From there, we embark on a 4WD journey across the Tibetan landscape, staying in some of the most charming traditional accommodations available. In Gyantse and Shigatse, we visit historic monasteries and dive deeper into Tibetan Buddhist culture.

Day 01 :
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,345m). Settle into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02 :
Explore Kathmandu’s historic and cultural highlights. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 :
Take a scenic flight to Lhasa (3,660m). Check-in and overnight at your hotel.
Day 04 :
Begin sightseeing in Lhasa, visiting significant religious and historical sites. Overnight stay.
Day 05 :
Continue discovering Lhasa’s cultural landmarks. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 :
Journey to Gyantse (3,950m), covering 261 km. Overnight accommodation in Gyantse.
Day 07 :
Head to Shigatse (3,900m), a short 90 km drive. Overnight in Shigatse.
Day 08 :
Travel onward to Shegar (New Tingri) at 4,050m, crossing 244 km. Overnight at a local hotel.
Day 09 :
Continue to Rongbuk (5,000m), near Everest Base Camp, driving 68 km. Overnight stay.
Day 10 :
Trek to Everest Base Camp, then return to Rongbuk and drive to Tingri (4,390m). Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 :
Descend to Zhangmu (2,300m) via a 181 km drive. Overnight in Zhangmu.
Day 12 :
Re-enter Nepal and drive back to Kathmandu (1,345m). Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 :
Free day to relax or explore more of Kathmandu at your own pace. Overnight stay.
Day 14 :
Final day transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
