Lama Treks & Expedition

Kailash Mansarovar Tour

This journey is perfect for those who want to focus only on the southwest region of Tibet—we won’t be visiting Lhasa on this trip. Instead, the highlight is a full kora (sacred walk) around Mount Kailash, one of the holiest places on earth. You’ll also spend two peaceful nights by Lake Manasarovar, taking time for prayer and reflection.

This trek is especially meaningful for those on a spiritual pilgrimage, but everyone is welcome—regardless of your beliefs—as long as you show respect for others and the sacred nature of the area.

Mount Kailash, in far western Tibet, is considered the most sacred mountain in Asia. It holds deep spiritual importance for Hindus, Buddhists, and followers of the ancient Bon religion. Pilgrims walk the 53-kilometer circuit around the mountain—clockwise for Buddhists and Hindus, counterclockwise for Bon followers. Completing one full kora is said to wash away the sins of a lifetime.

At 6,714 meters high, with its steep faces and snow-covered summit, Mount Kailash is a stunning and humbling sight. As you walk its base, you’ll feel both the physical challenge and the spiritual energy of this sacred landscape.
